The panda base is a highlight, but it should not define the entire Chengdu trip. The city is stronger when the panda visit becomes a morning anchor rather than the only story.
Build the day correctly
Go early for the pandas, then slow the rest of the day down:
- lunch with regional specialties
- a tea-house break
- one neighborhood or cultural walk
That sequence fits Chengdu’s personality far better than stacking attractions.
